Rebecca C. Wickert

Hi there! My name is Rebecca, and I am a creator, director, and performing artist located in the Twin Cities. I hold a BA in Theater Arts, Performance Creation, from the University of Minnesota. As a theater artist, my work is centered in physical acting and movement and I often combine performance styles to create interdisciplinary work. My passion lies in creating generative performance art that captivates modern audiences through spectacular presentations​

In the rehearsal room, I practice the Margolis Method, a dynamic approach to acting based on the universal principles of physics and communication. This new, innovative method inspires me because it organically synthesizes vital connections between the physical, intellectual, and intuitive while merging muscular expression.

 

When I'm not in rehearsal​, I train and compete as an amateur ballroom dancer.
